How cool that your husband is meticulous about arranging his toiletries and, with no training whatsoever, your child is meticulous about arranging her rabbits—seeing and describing genetic connection without saying it 😍
At fifteen, Theo has become the least sentimental person I know, and has tried to get rid of every piece of her childhood, including THE BUNNIES. I, however, know all the names of these bunnies as well as their personal histories, and think of them as members of our family and thus I have moved them all onto my bookshelves... xo
As with all plays, it's better seen than read, but here in France there are not a lot of English performances (one reason Theo is keen to get to London!) I want to re-read it myself, as it's been many years since I saw it and studied it... xo
a week in London with Theo is exactly what the Drs and all of us believe is the best medicine now!! enjoy enjoy enjoy and remember to sleep ! much love
Bertolt, Tamana Jay, and Thunderstorm are wonderful names for rabbits.
Thunderstorm was actually Tormenta de Lluvia - I translated it :-) She is a Bolivian bunny.

Beautiful essay! And thank you for inspiring men to read the Glass Menagerie!

Hm maybe I can find it on Netflix or someplace...
Or at a nearby theatre! There seem to always be productions around... xo
Me, not men, lol
I hope the sun shines for you both in London.
And your words about making a home wherever you are in the world remind me of the things we should value in life.
Such a wonderful essay--and sending your support during this challenging process, which you write about with so much grace and beauty.
Thank you, Abby! It is good to know you are here reading. How are you? xo
